Motocross Development in Georgia: International Collaboration in Focus

On May 15, 2025, at the invitation of the Georgian National Motorsport Federation (GNMF), Mr. Hamad Al-Saif a member of the Motocross Commission of the International Federation and Director of Motocross at the Kuwait Motorcycle Federation, visited Georgia. The GNMF team met with Mr. Al-Saif to discuss the prospects for developing the motocross discipline within the country.

During the visit, Georgia’s Minister of Sport, Mr. Shalva Gogoladze, and his First Deputy, Mr. Irakli Medzmariashvili, held a meeting with Mr. Al-Saif and the GNMF delegation. The meeting focused on the potential for revitalizing motocross in Georgia. Minister Gogoladze expressed his full support for the initiative and pledged future collaboration on possible joint projects with the Federation.

Together with the GNMF team, Mr. Al-Saif visited the motocross track at Rustavi International Motorpark, the Endurocross track at Husky Motopark, and the Telavi Motopark. Alongside invited experts, the parties discussed the modernization of existing tracks in accordance with international standards, as well as the development of dedicated children’s tracks.

Furthermore, the discussions included plans for future exchange programs between young motocross riders from Kuwait and Georgia. These initiatives are seen as crucial not only for the advancement and revival of motocross in Georgia but also for the healthy and structured development of the next generation of riders.
